DramaNight ("the app") is a Korean drama discovery and tracking app. This page explains what data the app collects, what it doesn't, and how the data it does collect is used.
The only data the app sends to our servers is the star rating you choose to give a show (1 to 5 stars). When you do this:
That's the extent of it — we don't collect your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any other personal information.
Your Watchlist (the shows you follow) is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers or anyone else. If you delete the app, this data is gone.
Show titles, posters, synopses, cast information, and streaming availability shown in the app are sourced from The Movie Database (TMDB), with poster and synopsis data supplemented in some cases by TheTVDB. This is app content, not personal data about you.
This app uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB. Metadata is also provided by TheTVDB — please consider adding missing information or subscribing at TheTVDB.com.
Where a show has a soundtrack available, the app links out to it on Apple Music using Apple's public iTunes Search API. The app does not embed or stream any audio itself — tapping a link opens the song or album in the Apple Music app or website. Apple Music is a trademark of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. This app is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple.
DramaNight does not display ads, does not use any advertising SDK, and does not include any analytics SDK. We do not use your data — or any identifier associated with you — to track your activity across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not sell or share data for advertising purposes.
The anonymous ratings data described above is stored using Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Firebase Authentication), a cloud infrastructure provider. Firebase's own handling of infrastructure-level data is governed by Google's Firebase privacy documentation.
DramaNight is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app only ever associates an anonymous identifier with a star rating — never a name, email, birthdate, or other personal detail — no age-identifying information is collected from any user.
If what the app collects or how it's used ever changes, this page will be updated and the effective date above will reflect the most recent revision.
